One of the absolute best ways to improve your photography is to practice!
Doing is the best way to see results. In order to help you practice your photography, I will be posting a different assignment each Friday here on this blog for you to complete over the weekend. Be sure to post your shots on your blog before Monday so everyone can enjoy the results of these assignments when we are back in class, period 1. Make sure to title your post "Weekend Work #3" Each Weekend Work assignment is worth 5 points in the practice work category.
This weekend's assignment is:
For an entire day during this weekend, try to photograph the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink. Make an ultimate selection of your 7 favorite photos (1 photograph per single color). If the photo also includes other colors, that is fine as long as the main color is one of the 7. Post these 7 photos to your blog before class on Tuesday. (Remember, no school Monday, Labor Day.) This is a bit of a simple exercise– but also quite fun. It will force you purposefully look for colors. And it is like a treasure/scavenger hunt– and your eyes will become much more perceptive to colors.
